ProjectX HDD Loader 1.3a for the XBOX -What is it? While playing XBOX games from your XBOX hard drive is not a new idea ... it has just become easy for the average user! We present to you our first application released for XBOX. This program will read any XBOX game disc you have to your XBOX hard drive, and it will display all the games you've installed and you can choose to Play, Delete or Install more!! Features: * Real time progress displayed on current file being copied, as well as the overall progress, even says the file name being copied. Constantly updates the amount of Free Space on your HDD while it copies. * Checks the disc size before installing to let you know how big the game is, and if its too big, it will ask you to delete something. * Support for Partition1 & Partition6 for users with larger HDD's. * Auto patches games that are being installed for known protections. * Lets you know if your modchip doesnt allow the eject trick! -History Version 1.3a 1) Now supports Partition 7 for the 137+ GB Hard Drives Owners. 2) Creates gamelist.txt in the \HDDLoader root folder so you can easily edit it to find out what game is in what folder. 3) Left/Right on the D-Pad pages up/down by 5 games at a time. 4) The White button toggles the display of the folder numbers in the file name to quickly see what folder is what game. 5) Refresh game list now put inside a thread to avoid slowdown. 6) Reads HDDLoader.ini file to parse for a new path, for all you Debug Kit owners, you can now create HDDLoader.ini with the following in it: [Newpath] path = "\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\devkit" And it will read that folder for PxGame* for games, so you can easily Launch them from the XDK Launcher screen. Version 1.2a 1) Displays an error now if the game disc you are installing has a filename thats longer than 42 characters. (FATX only allows filenames of a max length of 42, therefore it wont copy some files to the hard drive it it tries to copy this game to the hard drive. The only way to make a successful backup of this game, is to copy it straight from the XBOX DVD-ROM drive to your PC hard drive. Version 1.1a 1) Fixed to work with newer Library games. NOTE: If you installed a game and it didnt boot from the HDD with the old version of Px HDD Loader, Delete the game and reinstall it with this version and it will now work. -Quick Docs: Functions: * Main Menu controls: A - Play currently highlighted game. X - Deleted currently highlighted game. (Asks before it deletes.) B - Install From CD/DVD. (Displays disc size & asks before it installs.) Y - Refresh contents. Black - Change partitions. Back - Help menu. L+R+Start - Delete all games from HDD. (Asks before it deletes.) * Advanced controls: L+R+Start - Use this to cancel almost all operations. L+R+Black - Use this to go back to your xboxdash.xbe. Left Analog - Use this to play around with the ProjectX logo. Contents: 1) \pics - Self explanatory, shows the HDD Loader in action. 2) \HDDloader - This folder is for the people who want to install the HDD Loader to your XBOX HDD and run it from EvolutionX. 3) px-hdlv1.iso - XBOX ISO for people who dont want to install it to the XBOX HDD that have a modchip that allows the tray eject trick. Notes: * For you modchip users that can not eject without resetting the system. If you install EvolutionX as your dashboard, you can still use this program. Follow these steps: 1) Transfer the included \HDDloader folder to your C drive using EvolutionX's FTP capabilities. (If you can't figure this out, you dont need to be using this program.) 2) Once you have C:\HDDLoader on your xbox hard drive. Add the following line to your MENU.INI EvolutionX config file. Item "HDD Loader","C:\HDDloader\default.xbe" 3) Reboot your xbox and you should see HDD Loader as a selection. 4) Insert the game you want to install to the HDD now. 5) Run the HDD Loader, Press B and it should start installing. You'll always have to insert new games at the EvolutionX main menu, and run HDD Loader to install a new disc. To play a game that is already installed with HDD Loader, you can simply go to HDD Loader and press A on the selected game.
