JUST A REWARD OF COINS…
While gold and silver is nice there are other
rewards of more useful value. Land, for exam-
ple, is quite a tempting reward for the party of
adventurers who are finding their selves in
need of a fortification if not just a place to
park their excess gear. This first installment of
Land Plots focuses on a nice tract of land lo-
cated in a small, rural area simply known as
Oak Meadows.
Covering a total of 90 acres, the land plot of-
fers the adventuring party a combination of
farm ready meadows, rolling hills, and timber
rich woodlands. There is also a limestone cave
and a creek of pure, clear water that the char-
acters might find to be useful. Whether avail-
able for purchase or intended to be used as a
means of rewarding the characters for saving
the day (and perhaps the village) the land plot
is worth 5600 gold coins.

A BIT ABOUT OAK MEADOWS:
Oak Meadows is a small, rural area that can
easily be fit into the surrounding outskirts of
most fantasy villages, towns, and cities. The
locale is not so much as a full fledged commu-
nity of its own as it is a small farming settle-
ment that supports the larger local community.
Likewise, if desired the area can be renamed
to whatever you find more fitting.
GOLD COIN SYSTEM:
As noted, values in this product are described
in gold coins. A gold coin is a staple figure of
currency in most forms of popular role play-
ing games and in many of these the exact
value of the gold coin tends to remain about
the same. For better clarity on the exact value,
however, treat the gold coin as being worth
about the same as a being around a day’s
wages of a skilled professional.

Greetings Gentle Land Owner,
Congratulations on your acquisition of 90 acres of
property in the Oak Meadows area. The following
bits of information will help further detail you on
the important highlights of your land property.
property consists of dense woodland. These areas
are semi-flat and offer an abundance of timber. The
wooded areas provide a significant amount of pro-
tection and habitat for local wildlife and as such it is
not uncommon to find a manner of deer and elk bed-
ding down in these areas from time to time. The
wooded areas is also home to black bear, cougar,
and small game, with rabbit, raccoon, squirrels, and
chipmunks being quite common. One will also find
a significant amount of birds nesting in these areas,
with ravens, crows, hawks, and woodpeckers hold-
ing dominance over the other local species. The
base of the wooded area is also home to several box
turtles.
Property Overview:
The acquired property is broken down into four ter-
rain types: hills, meadow, wooded areas, and the
cave. Growing along the hills, meadows, and wood-
lands are quite a number of trees, with oak, pine,
sycamore, and beech being the most dominant of
such trees. A recent survey by a hired ranger and
two druids reveal that there is an estimate of 3050
adult oak, 1650 adult pine, 820 adult sycamore, and
275 adult beech trees growing in the 90 acres of ac-
quired property.
Cave: The cave is located in the eastern hilly por-
tion of the property. This underground structure
houses over 3900 square feet of space and is easily
located by its gaping 23ft. high entrance. This tall
entry quickly narrows down to 18ft. along the entry
shaft and one will note that the roof heights of the
remainder of this limestone cave vary greatly, with
heights ranging from 12 feet to 22 feet. A series of
natural step like slopes allow for easy navigation
through the cave, which drops further below into the
underground surface as you travel deeper within the
structure. Located in the most western room of the
underground cave one will find a pool of cool, clear
water. A small underground stream pours into the
pool from a 1 foot diameter hole in the stone ceiling
above and a small 6 inch diameter hole in a tunnel
like cut of the southern pool wall filters the water
back out. The pool of water is roughly 4 feet in
depth.
In the past the cave has been home to a variety of
creatures. While most reptiles and insects shun the
limestone construction of the cave it is well known
that bears, cougars, and even a few scarier varieties
of monsters have been known to call the cave home
at one time or another. If one takes extra care in dig-
ging around the old rooms and passages of the cave
it is likely that one might find a manner of old bro-
ken bones and teeth. Fortunately most of the bones
recovered from the cave thus far have been animal
in origin.
Each of the four property types are described below.
Hills: Of the 90 total acres of acquired property a
total of 9 of these acres are hilly and somewhat
overgrown. Though being a mixture of rolling
meadow and timber bearing woodland the hills are
considered to be of good quality land. Such hilly
areas have fertile soil and some magnificent hard-
wood timbers. It is not at all uncommon to spot sev-
eral wild turkey making their way along the hills
and deer come down through these hills to feed dur-
ing the evening. There are quite a few ideal spots for
the erection of a tower or small fortification. A
small cave is located within the hilly areas of the
property.
Meadows: The meadow areas make up the largest
portion of the acquired property, claiming a total of
66 acres. The soil of these meadows is quite rich
and it is known that crops grown in this area are
healthy and bountiful. The wild grasses and flowers
in the meadow areas also support the local wildlife,
which consists of a fair amount of deer and more
than a few elk. Smaller game can also be acquired in
this area, particularly in the nature of rabbit and
woodchuck. A small creek of refreshing, clear water
works its way along a fair portion of the meadows.
As with the hilly areas of the property the meadows
offer plenty of places to build. The main road that
passes along to the south of the acquired property
cuts along the edges of several acres of the meadow,
along plenty of space for the owner to develop path-
ways and small wagon roads.
Woodland: Around 15 acres of the 90 acres of

Surrounding Area:
Surrounding your 90 acres of land is the remainder
of the area known as Oak Meadows. Such surround-
ings are broken down into five areas of interest,
which are: the cavern, surrounding hills, surround-
ing meadows, surrounding woodland, and the road.
These areas are further discussed below.
and elk are extremely common in this area, as are
also black bear, cougar, and turkey. There are a few
wild boars spotted from time to time and several of
the local farming residents of the Oak Meadows
area have complained of wild goats getting into their
crops. It is believed that these goats are the feral off-
spring of formally domesticated animals that once
got loose.
Though the woodland area offers quite a bit of bene-
fit for the local residents these forested acres have
also been known to house a few terrible monsters
from time to time. Some believe that the inner heart
of the northern woods is cursed and as such the
more superstitious of rural folk refuse to venture
very far into the forest.
Cavern: To the northwest of your property edge
there rests another underground cave. Though the
other residents of Oak Meadows acknowledge the
presence of this cave there have been no known in-
cidences of exploration in quite some time. For the
most the common folk avoid the cavern entirely.
The hills that the cavern rests in are heavily over-
grown and unused.
Road: This well traveled road is wide enough to
allow two full sized wagons easy passage. The road
allows the citizens of the rural Oak Meadows area
easy access to the local hamlets, villages, towns, and
cities. Though travel along this road is for the most
part peaceful there have been a few reports of ban-
dits and scoundrels from time to time. As one will
take notice, the road forks to the east of the owned
property. While the southern turn tends to remain
peaceful and uneventful travel along the northern
fork tends to witness most of the bandit attacks. As
such, the presence of a good aligned landowner
who’s handy with a weapon would bring a welcome
sigh of relief to the local residents who must travel
this route.
Hills: As stated above, much of the surrounding
hilly areas are overgrown and unused. These hills
are a mixture of potentially fertile meadowland
combined with the presence of oak, pine, and syca-
more trees. Beech trees are fairly also common, and
there are a few abundant walnut trees near the acre-
age of the cavern. While cultivation of these walnuts
is quite tempting to the local residents most folk
avoid such trees due to the presence of the cavern.
Meadows: While the meadows to the north and
northwest of the owned property are overgrown and
unused the meadowlands to the east and south are
actively cultivated and farmed. The local residents
on these farms make a living growing a wide man-
ner of crops, from grains to gourds to grapes. Wine-
making is common in this area, as is a bit of brew-
ing.
Estimated Value:
The property in all has an estimated value of 5600
gold coins. This value reflects the fields, the unde-
veloped wilderness with resources, and the cave lo-
cated on the property.
Woodlands: The wooded areas that surround the
owned property are rich with a manner of wildlife,
herbs, edible mushrooms, and beneficial trees. Deer
