More2CDMaker GUI 1.6 by UbiK
----------------------------

Sparse instructions written by DeXT

This GUI version takes full advantage of Mode2CDMaker 1.5.1. However it's also
compatible with 1.5, althought you cannot use every option (CloneCD output). It
will work with 1.4.x and earlier, but in this case it will create CDs with short
filenames only, due to some command line switch differences.

The main GUI window is organized into four areas: left column of buttons,
filesystem tree (the big white area), textboxes and CD space bar, and bottom
row of buttons.

The main area where you will work is the filesystem tree which holds the target
CD structure. Here you can drag&drop the files you want on the CD (note that
they will be added as Form1 by default, you can then mark as Form2 (i.e. make
them bold) with the "Set/Unset Form2" button.

If you push the right button while on the file tree area, a popup menu appears,
with the following options: Make Folder, Set/Unset Form2, Browse File Folder (to
browse the source path of the selected file), Rename, Remove all (cleans the
file tree) Load/Save structure (load/save the current file tree).

On the left column a series of buttons can be found:

* Add Files: use this button to add Form1 files (such as executables, zip files,
  pictures, text, etc).

* Add Media Files: use this to add Form2 files (i.e. Movie files, such as AVI,
OGG, MPEG etc). They will be shown in bold in the file list.

* Add Folder: use this to add entire folders with their full directory structure
and sub-directories. By default these are added as Form1 (can be changed later).

* Make Folder: create a new empty directory on the CD structure, to put files
  inside.

* Remove: remove a file or folder from the file list.

* Set/Unset Form2: toggle Form1/Form2 status for any selected file on the file
list (Form2 files will be shown as bold, Form1 as normal text).

Then a series of list boxes and checkboxes follows:

* File naming scheme (ASCII/ISO Level 1/ISO Level 2): changes the current file
name format being recorded on the CD. ASCII is the default one (similar to
Joliet or Romeo format). ISO Level 1/2 puts all in uppercase and cuts to 8+3 or
  31 characters, respectively.

* Single Track: checks single-track mode, this saves space and has less problems
when burning on some recorders, but it's not suitable for Linux usage.

* Keep Extension: keeps the original file extension on the file name (it will
still be followed by the default Form2 extension).

* View Prompt: shown the command line prompt when creating the image so you can
  view mode2cdmaker output.

* Output image format (BIN/CUE and CloneCD): here you can select the output image
format, being the default one BIN/CUE (CDR-WIN) which is compatible with most
recording software. You can also choose CloneCD format which is more accurate
and has less compatibility problems (it will generate four files: CCD, IMG, SUB
  and CUE).

Below the main file tree window, a series of text boxes are found:

* Save image to: you can push the "..." button to select a path and base filename
for the output image. The extensions shown above will be added to this base
filename to create the image sets.

* Volume name: change the default volume name of the target CD.

* Form2 Ext: change the default extension for Form2 files (DAT).

* Real path of files: shows the source path of the currently selected file.

Below that you'll find a grey bar showing the current estimated CD space taken
on the target CD. Since mixing Form1/Form2 content make it difficult to
caltulate by hand the total space taken on the CD, this bar shows you the space
used by the current file tree, making the needed corrections for the Form2 files
(a 700 MB CD can hold up to 800 MB of Form2 data). If you pass the current CD
limit the bar becomes red. Clicking on the barr will toggle the current CD limit
between the following values: 74, 80, 90 & 99 min.

Below this bar you'll find three numbers:

* Estimated CD size: the space taken on an equivalent Mode1 CD, i.e. 700 MB for
a full 80 min CD. Form2 sizes are converted here to Mode1, so you can calculate
how much Mode1 space is still left.

* Time: the current CD space taken, shown in minutes, as well as the current CD
  limit.

* Actual data written: the total data size being written on the CD, it's just a
sum of the Form1 and Form2 data being written.

Finally on the bottom row you can find four buttons:

* Write ISO: launches mode2cdmaker.

* View CmdLine: shows the mode2cdmaker command line.

* Generate Batch: creates a BAT file with the current command line.

* Exit: really do you need info about this? ;)

That's all. Hope you'll find these instructions useful ;)

Many thanks to UbiK for making such a great GUI!
